The second edition of this book is far better than the 3rd Edition. Besides the errata and the use of C#, it has many other glaring problems. I'm surprised Hughes, Van Dam and McGuire were involved with this edition. If you can find the 2nd Edition, buy that one, not this one.

I am somewhat disappointed for the horrible amount of Microsoft product placement in the book. It should cost much less considering all the ads. What a pity to have such excellent content mixed with ads. Dear authors, can you write an ads-free version of this book?

I'm a technical writer and published author who has spent the last couple of years working to get up to speed on the latest in computer hardware. One area that I've really struggled with has been 3D graphics, GPUs and related areas of technology. It's easy to find material explaining what a GPU is or the steps in a 3D graphics pipeline; almost impossible to find anything that will actually take you through the steps of understanding what these things are, why they matter, and how they are used. This is the only book/ebook/website/anything I've found that even comes close to hitting the mark. I've read around 40% of it so far, and even though it's oriented more towards those who will actually do computer graphics programming, the underpinnings are so well laid out that it has greatly enhanced my understanding even at the hardware level. I can only imagine it is all the more useful for those approaching it from the software angle, even if the exact APIs and frameworks used are a bit different.Furthermore, the writing is understandable. I personally orient my own writing towards ensuring the reader can comprehend what I'm saying, and I recognize the same focus here. The authors anticipate areas of confusion and address them ahead of time, and everything is cross-referenced in just the right places. Even the way the code snippets are laid out is clever, with a form of "nesting" used to emphasize the parts being discussed. The math does get a bit dense at times. And I think the book would benefit from some editing to cut down on the very long paragraphs, which make digesting the concepts a little more difficult than they would be otherwise. But these are minor issues.I also like the Kindle version being properly formatted like a real book so I don't have to use a magnifying glass on fuzzy tables and so forth.Overall, a very fine piece of content for anyone who wants to learn how computer graphics work.

The defacto reference for computer graphics. I used it in college 20 years ago and it's still just as relevant.

This book is a wasted opportunity. Each topic taken individually is described very well. The main problem is the order in which arguments are presented. The authors give suggestions on how to choose the chapters to read but I found their organization confused.

College text for several top notch universities. This version is greatly improved over earlier editions. Wish authors had chosen OpenGL API instead of WPF. OpenGL is available on most current desktop, and mobile platforms. This book is the must have book for someone desiring to get a firm grasp on graphics programming at all levels.

Computer Graphics is indeed a must for anyone being involved in the design and implementation of CG algorithm. This is undisputable.Anyway I was disappointed by the third edition, in big part for the quasi-disappearance of 2D topics. I will continue to recommend the 2nd edition, way better in my opinion, and still up-to-date on many subjects.

**** Updated as 8/1/2013 ****Hi,I know some people have the false expectancy that I will read the 1100 pages before reviewing the book. However, I'm basing the review based on what I have read up to know and what I have browse in the book.Note that if you have the second edition, this is a whole new book. Completely rewritten. Some important facts. This is not an OpenGL book. It does have a bit of opengl and bit of g3d. It does uses WPF to demonstrate 2D and 3D Concepts. The authors feel that is important to cover 2D before 3D (I do not agree)Have in mind that the authors are authority in their fields, so while I may not agree with all their choices, I do respect them. This book is better design as a textbook or reference book. I'm not sure if you are learning for the first time, it may be the best book to go by. Remember that the strength of previous edition (and this one) has never been the rendering software, but the concepts in the book. With this said, the way that concepts are explained in this edition differ greatly from second edition. Here, it will depend in taste. I find that this book feels more like a traditional textbook (3rd edition). It feels a bit more like Hearn, Baker and Carithers (with this book having their own issues). It is important that you browse the book before making a decision. If you are looking for OpenGL book, then read OpenGL Bible (for example)I like the book and I think is a great addition to the collection. I'm still taking by the fact that they don't use OpenGL. but oh, well... too bad...I will try to keep updating this review in a few weeks.

I purchased this book upon my therapists suggested reading. By page 15 I already cried, very I sightful in a way other books have not spoken to me. However, I consider myself to have a fairly high reading comprehension and this book requires a companion dictionary for nearly every page for me. I also find the sentences long and wordy to a point where it is difficult to absorb what the author is trying to convey and I am re-reading many sentences many times to try to extract the lesson. If you're looking for an easy read I wouldn't recommend this book. But, if you're in the thick of it with your emotional work I do think this is a valuable companion to support you.

This book is immensely important for every single human being - it's just poorly written. And that's a real shame. The information is so relevant and so eye opening and so helpful - it really is too bad the author didn't revise it one or two or more times to make it more readable. Many people are not going to get through this book and that's too bad because it has so much to offer - but it's burred under awkward sentences and haphazard editing. Some of it even seems like the author's original notes that he didn't bother to put into finished chapters - but listed it all as bullet points instead.I hope someday the author will consider revising the edit and publishing a more polished version. However, if you're will to put the time into this book, it's well worth it - but be prepared to weight through it like you're on a scavenger hunt.

Personally, the way this was written gears more towards medical or mental health professionals. You can tell the writer knows what he's talking about and has experience in this field, but it's not as easy to digest for readers of other trades. Though it does explain some good, valuable concepts, it felt very repetitive to me, and I found myself losing steam a few chapters in. However, if this is your preferred style of writing as a reader, you may like it.

This book, should of been read before I had any relationship. And re read over and over. It has helped me realize so much of why I made so many mistakes, and thought the way I had. Great book, take your time and soak it in.

I don't know if it was just me, but I felt like the same concepts were covered, just in different ways. Granted, the author did cover some really great insights about transference, but I got bored of reading about it after I was at page 80 and decided to move on to a different book.

This book provided me with insight about previous relationships in my life that I would not have otherwise been able to identify. I love the concepts presented in this book, mostly centered around the idea that we use new people to fill roles, as if our lives were a play, and as people leave our lives we are able to fill those positions with new people.I did not have a great family life growing up. This book is the BEST book I have ever read for helping me get past some of the things that have repeatedly held me back in my adult life thus far.

Outstanding. Went to hear him in person after reading the book, and it was everything I hoped and more! Thank you, David, for your clarity and wisdom!!!

Honestly this book is great for you even if you are in a healthy relationship. Its just good reading with a solid foundation. I sent this book to my then GF now EX GF. I hope this helps Bethany get through the issues that are dragged from relationship to relationship. This book cuts through the garbage and calls it like it is.

Fleming's "......Making of a singer" should, and probably will be required reading for students in every music department, school and conservatory everywhere. It is a masterclass for any musician, not just singers' , and a life lesson for anyone else. For fans of Fleming the soprano there are many insights into the woman, not just the diva. Readers will find themselves wanting to take notes. If the intricate details of vocal production are beyond some readers' understanding, they serve as vivid reminders that no great vocal artist simply takes a breath and lets loose a glorious torrent of magical sound. Fleming's writing introduces fans to the "Working Mother" who takes audiences on her magic carpet on stage and jots down her grocery list in her dressing room. Brava Fleming !

As a lyric soprano and aspiring opera singer myself, I have continually found this book inspiring and encouraging. Ms. Fleming candidly looks at the world of an opera singer from many angles. She relates how she came to music, from her childhood as a daughter of musical parents, and charts how hard she had to work to get to the rarified world of the opera star she is today. She does not gloss over the work involved or the insecurities and problems she has faced. Her written voice is real and she gives great snippets of advice throughout the book. I find myself repeatedly going back to this book to learn, to laugh, and to be inspired to work hard to try and achieve my dreams. Thank you, Ms. Fleming for this wonderful helpful book.

Really good book with great views to how one should start taking the work serious. I'm just starting out and I never knew about the stuff she talks about in here, so it's really good to have these little clues, like applying for winter and summer programs, actually getting work and the struggle of trying to maintain a family while doing this kind of work, how important it is to have mentors, and the rest. Really good and motivating book. Not necessarily inspirational but the way she thinks makes me realize all I have to do is work and the rest will take care of itself.

Renée Fleming is generally acclaimed as the reigning operatic soprano of the day, enjoying a worldwide stature comparable to that afforded only a few divas of the past: e.g., Joan Sutherland, Maria Callas, Beverly Sills, et al. Renée Fleming's "The Inner Voice: The Making of a Singer", is a compelling autobiography that recounts Ms. Fleming's remarkable career as a "three-prong singer" who not only sings opera, but also sings recitals with piano and concerts with orchestras. Without glorifying herself, Ms. Fleming describes how she has achieved success via hard work, tenacity, resilience and luck. As Ms. Fleming states (of her memoir), "What I came up with in the end was not the story of my life, but the autobiography of my voice". Notwithstanding her enormous talent, extraordinary vocal abilities, stature as a world-class musician and opera star (and the associated rewards), Ms. Fleming candidly reveals her ongoing struggles to master her craft, and to combat various obstacles/challenges/failures encountered along the way: e.g., stage fright, rejection, panic attacks, isolation/loneliness, self-doubt, et al. Interestingly, this book is almost devoid of operatic gossip (i.e., the really `juicy stuff'); instead, it might be better described as a `How-To', and `Lessons Learned' manual that aims to mentor/instruct young aspiring operatic singers and help them to deal with challenges, and avoid some of the pitfalls encountered in the difficult and highly competitive world of opera.Ms. Fleming (today a divorced mother of two girls, Amelia and Sage) introduces the reader to her early family life, growing up in a suburb of Rochester, New York, with her parents, Edwin and Patricia, her younger sister, Rachelle, and her brother, Ted. Both of her parents were music teachers who enjoyed singing in the home. Music was an integral part of her public school education; educators understood, intuitively, that the discipline and joy of music fostered creativity in children, and provided a deepening and broadening experience in their lives.Although Ms. Fleming was accepted to Oberlin College (a top-flight conservatory), she was unable to attend due to insufficient financial aid. Instead, she ended up attending the Crane School of Music of the State University of New York, Potsdam. Ms. Fleming points out that this `disappointment' turned out to be the first great break of her career. At the Crane School of Music Ms. Fleming was taught by Patricia Misslin, a `no-nonsense' teacher who provided her with strict vocal training, putting a great deal of emphasis on resonance, focus, and `placing the voice'. Ms. Misslin taught her that a singer has different options for `placing the voice' (i.e., directing air combinations to different parts of the body, and thereby creating different sounds), including: (a) Head - This creates a light child-like sound; (b) Mouth - This creates a different sound; (c) Mask (nose and cheekbones) - This creates a nasal sound; (d) Chest - This creates a very low sound, like Sarah Vaughn. Ms. Misslin taught Ms. Fleming that an opera singer must typically maintain an enormous amount of focus in `the mask' so as to be able to project the voice to the back of the hall without strain. Ms. Misslin taught Ms. Fleming how to practice, and had a great influence on her regarding her repertoire. While at Potsdam, in addition to classical music, Ms. Fleming fell in love with jazz. While still a sophomore she auditioned for, and landed, a job as a big band singer. Singing with the band taught her how to let go of her fears, experiment vocally, and perform. After graduating from Potsdam, Ms. Fleming moved on to Eastman to study for a master's degree in music. At Eastman she had the opportunity to perform in many operatic roles. Ms. Fleming states, "And while I had some successes at Eastman, I had my share of dismal failures as well."---she failed her Met audition. But, fortunately, her parents had instilled in her the code of "Never Give Up." Ms. Fleming discusses her postgraduate apprenticeship at Julliard in a program called the American Opera Center, and a follow-up Fullbright grant in Germany where she learned to speak German fluently.Ms. Fleming pays homage to her mentors (e.g., Renata Scotto, Joan Sutherland, Marilyn Horne, Leontyne Price). She shares her experiences after attaining success, her major challenges (e.g., scheduling travelling, work/life balance, traveling with and raising two daughters, etc.), the business aspects of her career (e.g., bookings, interviews, cancellation policies, etc.), and ways to achieve longevity as an opera singer. Ms. Fleming emphasizes the importance of taking charge of one's image on stage, and shares her experience during actual performances before live audiences. She discusses how she prepares for new roles, and shares with the reader what typically goes on backstage during the preparation for a performance.I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful memoir which took me on a remarkable journey through the eyes of an opera star and recitalist. Ms. Fleming's memoir is, indeed, a portrait of the artist at work. It is a moving story that is well-written, fascinating, vigorous, and fresh---I learned a lot. Ms. Fleming humanizes the `diva', debunking (in a lighthearted manner) many of the stereotypes often associated with the term `diva' (e.g., "prima donna"; "selfish"; "high maintenance"; "hugely demanding"; speak in high voices, à la Julia Child, in a "continental" nonaccent; etc.) by those who are unfamiliar with the world of opera. She exhibits a keen awareness of the connection between the past, present, and future---an understanding that the world of opera did not begin with her, nor is it likely to end with her. More specifically, Ms. Fleming states,"...there must be at least one note in my range that belonged to my grandmother, and certainly my mother's soprano and my father's deep love for new music have given much of the color and depth to my sound. Their voices are our inheritance, part of the amalgamation of who we are and what we have learned. We are unique, each human voice, not because we are completely self-generated, but because of how we choose to assemble the countless factors that made us. My voice carries in it the generations before me, generations of my family, of brilliant singers I have admired, of dear friends. It goes on in this book, not the sound of my singing but certainly the work and thought and passion of the discipline. Tiny slivers of my voice will be incorporated into a student I teach in a master class or into the young singer who listens carefully, just as little glimmers of Leontyne Price's shining high C and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau's expansive breath came into me. If this is the past of my voice, then I must believe it is the future as well. My voice will go forward in the same way, not only through recordings but through my daughters and through their daughters and sons as far as the line will take us. It doesn't mean that everyone will be a singer, but that every one of us will find a passion in life to drive us ahead, and just maybe part of that passion will rest in the voice. People will hear it even in a word that is spoken: the wealth and wonder of all the music that came before."One of the main reasons why this memoir is so effective is that it is focused; Ms. Fleming does not `bite of more than she can chew'. In writing this memoir Ms. Fleming evidently followed the adage that it is better to do a `high quality' job on a focused topic, than to do a `mediocre' job on a topic that is too broad. I would highly recommend this book for aspiring opera singers, opera-buffs and, in general, anyone who has a deep appreciation for the arts.

Praise for A Ladder to the Sky:Washington Post: "50 Notable Works of Fiction in 2018"An ABA IndieNext Pick Esquire: "Best Books of 2018 (So Far)"Town & Country: "5 Books You Need to Read in November"Vulture: "Best New Books of November"Minneapolis Star Tribune: Best Books of 2018"“Boyne's mastery of perspective, last seen in 2017's The Heart's Invisible Furies, works beautifully here….Boyne understands that it's far more interesting and satisfying for a reader to see that narcissist in action than to be told a catchall phrase. Each step Maurice Swift takes skyward reveals a new layer of calumny he's willing to engage in, and the desperation behind it….so dark it seems almost impossible to enjoy reading A Ladder to the Sky as much as you definitely will enjoy reading it.” —NPR“John Boyne’s delicious new novel A Ladder to the Sky… spins out over several decades with thrilling unpredictability, following Maurice as he masters the art of co-opting the stories of others in increasingly dubious ways. And while the book reads as a thriller with a body count that would make Highsmith proud, it is also an exploration of morality and art: Where is the line between inspiration and thievery? To whom does a story belong?”—Vanity Fair“Maurice has the heart of a sniper… marvelously engaging, barbed and witty.” —New York Times Book Review“A darkly funny novel that races like a beating heart.”– People“Maurice Swift may not be much of a novelist, but he inhabits a literary tradition going to back to Patricia Highsmith. Boyne’s protagonist is Tom Ripley as literary climber... Boyne’s novel is about high literature but has lower, juicier ambitions, at which it wildly succeeds.”– Vulture"For Patricia Highsmith fans, thriller aficionados, writers, publishers, literary wannabees, scoundrel sympathizers, John Boyne offers the perfect entertainment for dark winter days." – Boston Globe“A taut and gripping novel… as craftily written as Swift himself.”– Esquire“It’s dark, it’s funny, it’s the most unusual read I had this year….You will read it like that. Darkly comic and deliciously vicious, this mesmerizing portrait of a ruthless psychopath explores artistic endeavor, creative ambition and ‘whether our stories belong to us at all.’” – Minneapolis Star Tribune"A Ladder to the Sky is clever, chilling and beautifully paced; a study of inner corrosion that Patricia Highsmith herself could not have done better... wickedly astute." –The Times (London) "Maurice Swift is a literary Tom Ripley . . . a first-class page turner." –The Guardian"A deliciously dark tale of ambition, seduction and literary theft . . . compelling and terrifying . . . powerful and intensely unsettling . . . in Maurice Swift, Boyne has given us an unforgettable protagonist, dangerous and irresistible in equal measure. Boyne's singular villain and well-sustained tension merit a good audience.” – Kirkus (starred review) “Well-crafted...The novel unfolds in an extremely layered manner, but what Swift’s story slowly reveals says much about publishing, pride, deceit, and plagiarism—and worse, much worse.”– Booklist"Maurice Swift, as cold and manipulative a character as you’re likely to meet this year . . . the story takes an ever darkening series of twists and turns . . . John Boyne is a master storyteller . . . this chilling and darkly comic tale of unrelenting ambition." – Express"Skillfully constructed, and above all, compulsively entertaining...The finest novel of the year."– The Irish Examiner "A dark morality tale in the mold of Patricia Highsmith . . . consistently intriguing." – Daily Mail   “As a study in the self-rationalizing ‘ethics’ of a psychopath, this book is fascinating. As a story, it is horrifically plausible.” – The Sunday Independent   "A riot of a read… An author at the top of his game who knows exactly what he wants to say.” – The Sunday Times   “Irresistibly readable and darkly funny.” – The Irish Independent"A highly enjoyable romp that lifts the lid on authorial vanity and jealousy and an intelligent take on cultural appropriation." – Monocle"Boyne has had fun creating a charismatic psychopath . . . it’s engrossing stuff." – Saga"Boyne delivers a perfect balance of pace and detail to keep you gripped throughout."– i Newspaper

A Ladder to the Sky is so hard to describe properly but it's so damn good that I'm going to give it a try: man without scruples (or empathy, or any basic human emotions, really) wants more than anything to be an author. Never mind the fact that he can't write. Is he a success? You betcha!Oh, Maurice. From the start, when a late in life moderately successful author, Erich, sees you and is instantly besotted, you take his time, his money, and a story from his past and boom! You're on your way.Getting there, you encounter Dash, who also becomes besotted, and use him to make sure you wedge open every door in publishing you can, with an unsuccessful encounter with Gore Vidal (!) along the way.The brief interlude with Gore Vidal was my favorite (say what you will about Gore Vidal, but he was deeply aware of the human capacity for terrible behavior) until there's the section narrated by:Edith. Up and coming British author, madly in love with Maurice, and oh! She's my favorite. So full of charm and passion and with such a bright future. And that second book she's working on...Well.Maurice, you "help" that along, don't you? Then, finally, you're a huge success, with an actual literary magazine, Stori (the title seems to have punctuation of some " at the end, naturally) and you have your own other heart's desire, a child. Your very own son, Daniel.Too bad children are so much work. And so needy! But he's a bright boy and he does love to read. Of course, there's that pesky asthma. Still. Onward! There are more ideas to steal, (convient, to run a magazine every aspiring author appears to want to be in) more novels to write. More fame to be had.And then, you're older and no longer published but maybe, with this doctoral student, Theo, who has been sniffing around (and who has a big publishing house editor father!), there's still one last idea to be found and appropriated (because, really, it's not the writing that's hard, it's the idea!) perhaps it's time for one more great novel...Ladder to the Sky is a deft skewering of publishing while still managing to be a love letter to both books and the way the very best of them work, by laying bare some part of what our best and worst selves are.Oh, and Maurice? The main character, on whose life so many authors enter (and exit)?Sociopath. (On a good day, mind!)Ladders to the Sky has to be experienced. It manages to be full of life while its main character is best at stealing it, full of love (again, while Maurice has none), and a love letter to the power of words starring someone with no real facility for them. It's brilliant, it's thoughtful and yes, it's core character has none of these traits. And the ending! Oh, I laughed out loud as Maurice recounts his last act of "writing." (And how the publishing world receives it)Ladder to the Sky is, hands down, one of the most twisted love letters to books and their power I've read. IOne of the best books of 2018.

From start to finish the lines of this novel are blurred by the relentless pursuit of fame by the protagonist, Maurice. Knowing nothing about the story line I initially found the change of structure unsettling. Indeed, for some many pages, I was not sure whether there was a connection with the various narrators. On the edge of giving up, I realised I was in fact reading a triumphant piece of multi layered fiction, which was on the edge of being a thriller. But what will enthrall is not the dark side of Maurice but his drive to become a writer. John Boyne takes you inside not only his mind but those of his wife, Edith and others as they all yearn to become authors. Towards the end, if I have one criticism, I became rather bored by the London pub meetings Maurice has with Theo, when the dialogue between the two risked loosing my interest but it lead to one of the most extraordinary and powerful endings of any book I have read. I cannot imagine what it must be like for an author to write so technically and critically about.......writing a book. It is a masterclass of fiction and only the second (War & Peace my first) novel that I would ever consider reading again.

I am a huge fan of the novels of John Boyne, from The Heart's Invisible Furies to A History of Loneliness to The Absolutist. His novels are definite page turners: suspenseful; well-plotted; full of surprises, and---as in Invisible Furies, for instance, filled with memorable, heart-rending and very well-executed scenes (Amsterdam, the hospital death scene, etc.). However, things happen in Boyne's latest novel A Ladder to the Sky that seem to push the limits of the reader's credibility, although I admire Boyne for striving in this book for something a little more experimental. It is very difficult to believe that a character as diabolical, as clever and as cautious as Maurice would, in the end, be caught in the trap of Theo Field. In fact, some of their pub dialogues just don't ring true. They seem a bit contrived. And the novel's conclusion seems laughable. Is the novel a satire? It doesn't seem so. Nor does it work as a morality tale. Additionally, the Interlude involving Gore Vidal is digressive, albeit brilliant and entertaining. And the development of the relationship between Maurice and his son Daniel doesn't seem drawn well or convincingly. Some shifts in point of view also seem awkward, jarring and unnecessary, such as the switch to Edith's point of view. Overall, I still liked the novel---and I remain a John Boyne fan. It's a book---like his others---that you will find hard to put down. It's intriguing. But it seems a little more---uneven?----than some of his previous works.

This was on a reading list at my sons school, and I am so glad because he absolutely loved it! Entertaining with a little bit of science fiction and a whole lot of historical baseball history thrown in.We loved it so much we decided to follow it with another in the series, “Shoeless Joe and Me”, and to my surprise it was filled with several highly inappropriate situations! I felt my trust in Gutman as an author for my young son was violated, and will likely avoid reading the rest of the series now. Such a bummer!

Too bad I didn't, because he seems like one heck of a good guy. Generous, talented, respected even by his arch rivals such as Ty Cobb, this guy helped the Pirates win the 1909 World Series in game seven, in Detroit. I found out that I'd been pronouncing his name wrong, because it's short for "Johannes." German, sure, but I still bet you can figure out how to pronounce it. This is the first of the baseball card series, in which our hero can travel through time using baseball cards. Good stuff!

Good read for young readers.

This was a read-aloud for my sons, 8 and 10. I think I enjoyed it as much as they did! Can't wait to read the author's next book in the series.

My 11 year old son loved this book (which is shocking because he hates to read) and asked for others in the series.

Such a wonderful way to introduce my son to the history of baseball. This was a huge hit and he can't wait to read another in the series.

I am not a big sports person, but Honus and Me had me hooked right from the beginning! I love Dan Gutman's My Weird School books! Now I want to read more of his sports books, too! Honus was my first Kindle e-book from Amazon, and it was a great reading experience!!!

A great book (a good series too) with well researched baseball history. My students loved the story. They remained enthralled throughout! I highly recommend!

I have been a student of Roman Britain and the search for the history of the actual "Arthur"for decades. This book...in very deliberate and precise ways...tells this story. Be warned...this is NOT a novel and there is much history and archeology within, but for someone like me....it was a wonderful book to read. A must for anyone who is interested in this subject or British history in general.

Wonderful examination of the beloved story of King Arthur. Only thing that doesn't seem mentioned is the fact that the Romans ate in a circle, served from the middle. Round table? This shall stay on our shelf here.

Having lived in Wales for a time I've been fascinated with the early Britons and as a history teacher have found this book to be the best on the subject of determining where the King Arthur myths derived.

Phillips tells the whole story about how a faint glimmer of an ancient tale has been embellished to the point where few people know the foundation of the legend.

I first saw this author on a History Channel Documentary and wanted to read his book. It is well written and very interesting. If you like history or the King Arthur story, you will enjoy this book.

I was quite surprised that this came from the UK. And quite pleased with it and the surprise service I was treated with.Thank youAmazon and all who participated in providing myself with this wonderful fact filled true story book.Wm. Harpham
