This is a VERY BASIC book, which is okay but there could have been more. There is a bonus plan onbuilding an adirondack chair but this plan is extremely basic as well. The much better plan is onewhere the back of the chair is curved so as to fit your back much more comfortably.The reviewer was a former award winning contractor and is the author of the book Sex Educationfor Adults Secrets to Amazing Sex and Happily Ever After Too

Good information for beginners, similar to other basic woodworking guides. Easy to read layout and easy to follow plan at the end.
If one knows nothing about woodworking then go ahead, but be prepared for some very low level information.Got it for free and was still disappointed....
I was given this book as a gift to provide an honest review for the author. I loved it! The first 1/3 of the book discussed tools essential to proper woodworking, which was wonderful - I had always limited woodworking to a hammer and nails, and maybe a power saw. It is concise and to the point, but yet covers all of the areas necessary to understand basic woodworking.
